It's February at long, long last! What a great way to start the year though! We've been working with Bournemouth Borough council to help with develop their sustainable packaging across their parks outlets and so far we're really excited about the way we are helping with more ethical packaging. We have been working out the best ways to reduce carbon food prints across the sites by using compostable cups and other food and drinks packaging which breaks down within just a few months - that way for those items which escape the bin, we are helping reduce littering.

Some items we are particularly proud of are our 100% biodegradable cups and straws - these contain absolutely no plastic, so that we're taking that out of the waste cycle completely. Brilliant! Instead they are made with a special organic based bio-plastic. This is usually from waste manufacturing waste cornstarch which breaks down in the presence of bacteria and moisture (like all organic things!). Then the used items can then become something more useful - like compost - so we can grow new food and plants in them. Brilliant!

Our home roasted DC brew coffee continues to be a real hit with businesses as we are roasting high grade coffee and then passing on savings so that businesses pay a lower price. We don't have fancy outlets or waste money on unnecessary packaging or labeling, so we can pass on genuine savings to help Bournemouth businesses. We are seeing more language schools coming on board as well because they value the friendly and personal service we provide.
